GTA 2:Endgame

What are some useful options in the GTA2 PowerManager 1.0a?

I tested some options, skip user in combination with show camera will clear the screen completely of statistics/game info.
Turning the limit recycling option on will not clean up the mess(wreckages and dead bodies) you created. (can cause a crash according to carthief's experience)
And turning the do blood option on will give you a nice bloodbath on the streets.

Got an idea, perhaps that the characters escape from cops or something by using a boat? That they hide between crates, ect, and later take over the boat by killing peds in stealth, like, sneak up on em, and shoot em till there dead, if they see you, they will be ready and armed. Razz

And be more aware of players.

Maybe a good idea for the movie?

Is it possible to see a screenshot or recording of it? I have never seen the boat thingy in the game.

I am gonna postpone the script to next weekend. do not want to rush things.

That race map thingy is finished, kind of, still need to do script, but, anything to add? I made the end be a road going up, suddenly stopping, so you jump off, and land on a building's roof full of cars.

And anything else to make?

A list might be handy.

Some idea's are cars waiting behind bill boards, ect, like, police going after people who drive to fast. Razz

And does the road need traffic? or no traffic? And perhaps give the bad guy's car a upgrade that he bashes much better then the good guys? Razz

And the road can be a little short, with a fast car. GTA2 maps dont have much room. Razz

Small edit: Sometimes PM's wont be recieved, maybe something with server. Razz

That error took long. And when's the script ever finished? Without the script, i dont know what the maps need to be.

Im sure it doesnt take that very long to think of a script for the movie.

We go for quality not quantity, I think the script will be finished just before the summervacation starts. Some people have to pass there exams first, so there are some priorities Wink

Maybe i'll start making some nice banners and 'commercials' before the movie(script) is ready, just like in real-movie-business, LOL.

The intro was kinda 'ripped off' the movie Crank (2006). I hope you guys don't mind that, lol.

edit: the intro looks short, it is short, it is normally in movies short, but it took a long time to make.

edit2: if the intro doesn't fit or is just not what you guys look for, we might still use it for the commercial/trailer/preview/sumthing... like that.

edit3: i could also put out the background music but keep the 'scratch's' and fill it in with a different background music... like the one from bit's intro. dunno, bit's intro is a bit sad, lol.

the intro ends with 'silence' . the music stops so maybe before we begin with one of the movies we can put in a small "hello-view". what i mean is we show the viewer some stills or normal day streetaction (carjack andso) of gta2. so after the 'BANG YORU HEAD intro' the viewer has some relaxed lead-in moment to get familier with the way gta2 looks (from above and a bit old-skool-game, lol)

This Intro comes close to a real movie, I really like it. Gives a modern touch/feeling. However, some things did not jump out in the intro, the blur effect in the beginning did not impress me so much and maybe you could choose another transitionpicture. (the colored one we see in the flashing effect). And another background song is a good idea. All in all the effects were very creative and gives a modern look.

I am also happy to know that the previous game had been recorded, a lot of (movie-worth) actions could be defined as eyecandy. Could you try to upload it somewhere? I am curious to see the footage.

Yeah, not so impressive blur, hehe, but now I know more about windows movie maker and so this new intro that I made should be better. I'm glad you gave some crits because than I know where to work on. Some usefull crits on this new intro will be appreciated.

The first link is with the original backgroundsong and the second link with a new one, which I took from your 2fast2furious 'collection'. Why 2 versions? Because the 'scratch'-effect wasn't so easy to cut out and use over a new song so I created my own 'scratch' in the program Audition, but it's hard and new to me...

Of course I can also try to put in a different backgroundsong which we all (A.B.C. Films, lol) like. But I can't promiss a good scratch, lol.

The moviepreview of Crank (2006) you posted is the correct one. I bet you recognized the intro. Smile
