| Umm.. Ok. with hamachi and close lands i can play.. Thx a lot CP you have been very helpful.Im from estonia.. so ppl from Poland wont lagg ( and i wont lagg to them , cuz my country is near them.. XDDD At least i have played few games XDD
grr.. i dont lagg with PL ppl but they dont want to play with me.. BTW? can i add my own music into GTA radio? |

| The ping is based on the distance between you and the person(s) you play with.
A ping around the 100 (or lower of course) is the best. You will get, with speed on FAST, frames per seconde of 21. To have a good ping you need to find players in your country or close around your country. As example, I life in holland and can play good with the UK,IE,NL,FR,BE,DE but only sometimes with people from PL. People from VS are out of the question. There are many things why the game crashes. Here is a small list: 1. Your data or the person you play with his data is corrupted/bad/incorrect. You can fix your own data with a copy-past-replace of the maps. IF that doesn't work you can reinstall the game. Don't use your cd or illegal stuff, you can simply download gta2 for free from rockstar's website. http://www.rockstargames.com/classics/ (Make sure to patch the game. on www.gtamp.com there is an all-versions patch or something, not sure) 2. In the network screen, before playing, you cannot see someone's ping. Also you cant see him type/talk. Its normal to not see your own ping. 3. During the time in the network screen someone has been kicked or left the 'server' incorrupted. 4. If your downloading, uploading or have programs like MSN on the background running it can cause lag or sometimes a crash. With my firewall I don't need to type a number for allowing a program. | I have hamachi.. Lol i almoust got a game played with that but the game crashed for all ppl. xD Ill find more information about my modem..
But.. I dont know hamachi networks... EDIT : With hamachi it works fine.. But.. i have a good computer.. Why do i have a high ping and why is my game slow? When my firewall was off my ping was 400+ , when ON it was 140-160. Why i cant join in games what other create? It says JOINING.. and it wont go further.. Also.. what number i have to type at the firewall when im allowing dplaysvr.exe.. |

| Hi,
Maybe your modem also acts like a router and so you need to open/forward ports. On this webpage: http://www.portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/GTA2M/GTA2Mindex.htm You can seek your modem/router and follow the guide to open/forward ports. The correct ports are: port 47624 UDP/TCP and port range 2300-2400 UDP/TCP If that doesn't work. You can also try to allow dplaysvr.exe, gta2.exe and GTA2 Game Hunter.exe in your firewall. And the correct amount of ports. You can also try to search google with your modem name to see if there are any know problems with it for online playing. You can also check your modem software (if it has one) to open ports/forward or allow programs. And if all hope is lost, you can still try to use hamachi. This program is used by more players in GH and it creates a virtuel LAN over the internet. No spam or other sh!t, i also use it and works the way it should. You can download it at www.hamachi.cc Setting the program up doesnt take much time, took me 1 to 2 min. Hope this helps. Greets, Pete |

| I have played GTA 2 offline about 2 years ago and today i downloaded the free ver. of it.. I installed the game versions patch.. (Coulnd find the 1.03 patch) I have the game working fine on XP home.. I dont use a router..
Only modem. I have the Gamehunter , i added the port in the firewall... restarted.. But i wont get in a single game at GH... I dont see my ping.. (others neither..) I would really like to play it again.. (online). Some1 explain? Ty..  |
