I read the topic at GTAForums few weeks (months) ago when it was just "basic idea" and I gave to that project only little chances... I've found that at GTAtwo there were no topic abiut this editor... I intended to write something there, but.... Yes, I'm a lazy (and busy Razz

BTW I got one more idea - in orginal Map Editor there is a limit for maximum field of view - You can adjust it from just few tiles to something like 32x32 (I guess)... But it is bit too small to make nice "street view" screnes - or giant maps made by Kamil Smile

About "field of view". Yes there is limitation in DMA editor and i know why. If whole map or bigger area is visible the there is significant FPS decrease and editor probably would just hang. They limit the FOV with some tricks and i would like to know what tricks (if any). Is it in DirectX or homemade.

I don't think that this is frustum culling, it's something else.

I have created very basic frustum culling in my editor, it really makes things faster but it is buggy and i disabled it at the moment.
I have other things to do than FC.

If OpenGL will gonna limit me somehow then probably i must switch to DirectX and rewrite everything. Ca 5580 lines of code.
Hopefully not. But DirectX has some very neat stuff that OpenGL doesn't have.

I think it's impossible with my editor yet.
Because texturing doesn't work at it's fullest.

But it all depends, what do you mean by screenshots?
Top down view only?

But maybe i can make a app for DMA map editor that makes screenshots out of this and automatically makes one big screenshot out of it.

Thanks to phpMyAdmin i got my WP database and saved it in safe place.
So all posts, comments and so on can be just restored with few clicks.

I just have to buy a cheapest domain name for $6 or $7 for one year and install wordpress and upload
database again.

If someone would help me with buying domain and would donate few cents to my PayPal account then please let me know. I don't ask hundreds, thousands or millions. Just any donation helps me get those $6 or 7 and i can buy a domain name for one whole year.
